In Celebration of my Two Year Wedding Anniverary...

And now we return to our regular scheduled blogging....

Once again I am behind on blogging. Some of the posts that mean the most to me I seem to have the most difficulty writing. So I put it off, and then I don’t want to write about anything else because I need to write about such and such first. So here I go! Lots to blog about but first I have to write about my anniversary.

Two years and one week ago today I married my best friend, yes I know that’s what everyone says, yes I know it sounds cliché but it’s true. He is my best friend and I am so so blessed to be his wife. When I met him almost 9 years ago I had absolutely no idea how much that boy next door would mean to me, I had no idea where our lives would take us and the 18 year old me had no clue that I had just met my future husband.

I met Adam in August 2002. It was my very first day at CSU, I was moving my life into a tiny little dorm room and this cute boy next door caught my eye.  It was my FIRST day in a new city, my FIRST day starting a new life and I was ONLY 18. He was really cute and very sweet but I had no way of knowing that God had just placed my future husband so conveniently next door. We started off as friends; we quickly became more than friends and in no time at all I knew that my life just wouldn’t be the same without him.

We were young when we met, so we of course had our ups and downs, but we were a constant in each others lives. When I graduated college I knew my future had to have Adam in it, so we moved in together and started our journey towards marriage… Adam took his time proposing but when he finally did on August 2nd, 2008 it was absolutely perfect. He popped the question on top of a mountain in Rocky Mountain National Park in the rain and I instantly said yes. Almost a year later on June 25th, 2009 we said our I Do’s at Cielo at Castle Pines surrounded by friends and family, once again in the rain. (They say rain on your wedding day is lucky, I like to think that’s true because with all the rain we had on our wedding day we have BUCKETS of luck.) Our wedding day was amazing and everything I dreamed it could be, but what made it absolutely perfect was knowing that I was marrying the most amazing man I had ever met. He really is my best friend, he’s smart, funny, and he is absolutely my rock, he knows when to make me laugh, he knows when to sit with me and just “be there” and he knows when to just leave me alone. Some days I just can’t believe how blessed I am that god simply placed the man of my dreams next door.

So to Adam, my husband, my best friend and my rock… Thank you for two amazing years of marriage, and 9 wonderful years of love and friendship, I am blessed to call you hubby and I cant wait to see what the future has in store for us. I love you babe.

xoxo ~ Jamie
